Teaching Parenting DVD Facilitator Training

Become a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator. 

Jane Nelsen and Lynn Lott have completed a DVD training that includes 6 1/2 hours filmed at a live training and requires about 5 1/2 hours of homework to practice the skills in order to receive a certificate as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator.  At the end of this training, you will be ready to lead parenting classes and/or improve your skills as a parent educator regardless of the setting in which you work (counseling office, pre-school, etc.)

Positive Discipline in the Classroom DVD Training

Developing Mutual Respect, Cooperation, and Responsibility in Your Classroom.

Positive Discipline in the Classroom (based on the work of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs) could be called an “encouragement model” for classroom management. It is a program designed to teach young people to become responsible, respectful and resourceful members of their communities. Nelsen and Lott have been teaching and expanding on Positive Discipline since the early 70’s. Positive Discipline parent education classes are taught around the world, and Positive Discipline is successfully used as a classroom management model in private, religious, and public early childhood programs, elementary schools and middle and high schools.

  • 8 DVDs (6 1/2 hours recorded at a live two-day workshop)
